This single-estate Catucai microlot comes from Caio Pereira, a farmer from the Mantiqueira de Minas region in the south of Minas Gerais state. Caio’s 33ha family farm Fazenda Serrado is situated at 1,150masl.
“I am from a family that has been in coffee farming for 5 generations” explains Caio, “I was born and raised
seeing my father and grandparents working in the activity. Our tradition and the challenge of improving quality strongly motivate us to continue this legacy of several generations.”
Fazenda Serrado is located in the south of state of Minas Gerais, in the region of Mantiqueira de Minas. With a centuries-old tradition of producing high-quality coffee, Mantiqueira de Minas is today one of the most awarded regions in Brazil. These are rare and often surprising coffees, reflecting the combination of a unique terroir, local know-how and continual striving for excellence.
